Hearing on $2 billion gas tax postponed to May 1s

We contacted you yesterday about SB 241, a $2 billion gas tax hike that had been scheduled to be heard in the Senate Governance and Finance committee next Wednesday.  Now, the bill has been postponed until Wednesday, May 1st.

While committee schedules are beyond CEU’s control, we apologize for the inconvenience as we know many of you were already planning to attend the April 24th hearing.

Make yourself heard between now and May 1st

Many of you have already let your legislators know you oppose SB 241. If you have not yet contacted your legislator to tell them to oppose SB 241, you can still click here to send a message on SaveOurJobs.org

Do not let the schedule change keep you from coming to the hearing. Simply change the date on your calendar to May 1st. If SB 241 passes, 10,000 jobs will be lost, gas prices will rise and our dependence on imported fuel will increase.

As an added bonus for coming to the Capitol, you will receive a free Save Our Jobs tee shirt for attending this important meeting.

NEW Date: Wednesday, May 1st

Time: 9:30 am

Where: California State Capitol Room 112, Sacramento, CA

If you plan to attend the hearing on May 1st, let us know by RSVP’ing to me at Eric@Coalitionofenergyusers.org

See you on May 1st at the Capitol!
