Even though, AS USUAL, the cons took the president’s speech out of context by not mentioning how government through taxation built roads and bridges for travel, established fire and police departments for safety not to mention the military provided the education, environment and position for entrepreneurs to shall we say “entrepreneur”, it was laugh out loud funny to hear him praise his wife’s efforts at creating her own software company 30 years ago all by herself, and especially without government help. Bravo Mrs. Varney, but please tell ole Stewart that if it weren’t for the (brace yourself) US GOVERNMENT-created reserve of information which is now called the internet, you would not have created nor needed to create any software. So please Stuart, don’t deny the value of my taxes paying for your ability to walk around the country safely to earn your living telling lies about the president. I assume you flew safely around the world on your vacation due to government-run safety procedures.

    • Roads and bridges for travel, fire and police departments and the military, would not exist without private businesses. Every un-borrowed dollar the government spends (state, local or federal) was first provided for by a private business or individual. And then confiscated by the government to pay for the services they provide.
