Court: No color-coding on UC campuses

In a major PLF victory, a panel of the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has rejected an effort to bring back race-based quotas to University of California campuses.
The court upheld the constitutionality of Proposition 209, the voter-enacted provision of the California Constitution that bars discrimination and preferences by race or sex in UC admissions, along with other areas of public education, contracting, and employment.
