Next Wed, July 27th, the Citizen Action Group to Preserve Freedom in Amador County will once again meet with the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commissioners and Planning Department to continue requesting changes to the emerging General Plan.
Unlike the first meeting when over 100 of us attended only to be frustrated by lengthy preliminary discussions, the June 25th meeting got right into the debate. Many of your friends from the Tea Party and from the Amador Business Council had solid discussions with the Board; many requested changes were made.
The Supervisors and Planning Commissioners were more than willing to listen, discuss our requests and make motions to accept changes. Good people, healthy discussion and favorable outcomes.
We believe next week’s meeting will also get right to the debate. Please plan to attend and show your support for maintaining a “Government By the People and For the People” We will be more successful when our County Officials realize that a huge number of Citizens support the proposed changes.
