Please attend the Planning meeting at the Board of Supervisors chambers in San Andreas on Thursday, June 16 at 9:00am to show your support for property rights.
The United States of America is unique in that it is the only country in the world that recognizes property rights in the context of natural law.
Our property is the manifestation of our time, energy and talent and we are free to use it as we wish, as long as we don’t harm the rights of the neighbors or the public.
Tom Coe shopped extensively for property on which to build a shooting range (the Coe Shooting Center). He finally found suitable property in Valley Springs. The property was zoned appropriately, approval had been given by 4 commissioners and staff has been instructed to approve a resolution.
While community input may be interesting, it is the responsibility of our government officials to uphold the United States Constitution, which was written for the express purpose to secure our rights.
Government officials must not be allowed to change the terms and conditions under which people purchased their property unless they have written permission from the property owner or justly compensates the owner(s).
